Fred Cline is a versatile content creator in Glendale, California. As a teen growing up in Santa Cruz, CA, Fred was infected with Animation Fever. He was treated for the illness by a retired couple in the area – Lee and Mary Blair, whom he befriended after seeing an article in the local paper about their careers at Disney Studios and in New York.
Fred received a BFA in Character Animation from California Institute of the Arts and studied acting and directing at Film Industry Workshops, Inc. in Studio City, California. He has contributed toward animated theatrical features such as "The Little Mermaid", "Space Jam", and "Jimmy Neutron: Boy Genius", and television shows such as "Randy Cunningham: 9th Grade Ninja", "Robot Chicken", "Miles from Tomorrowland", and "Puppy Dog Pals". Fred also has designed television commercials, a pre-school online virtual world, and illustrated a book/exhibit for the National Postal Museum of the Smithsonian Institution.
I'm very lucky to be doing what I love as my profession. This job allows me to travel (sometimes) to exotic places like China and Dallas :D - and meet interesting and talented new people. I hope we are able to work together soon!
I enjoy developing new/original properties.
“Fred has demonstrated a keen wit and a cinematic eye. He has always been one of my ‘go-to’ guys. He always has fun, and that kind of energy is infections and makes for a happy and productive team. Fred has the trifecta – talent, passion, and attitude. He has always given me 100 percent when I have needed him.”
John A. Davis, Creator/Producer Jimmy Neutron: Boy Genius and The Ant Bully
“I have worked with many designers and development artists, but none more talented than Fred. He has done numerous projects for me, and he always demonstrates the highest standards of taste, skill, innovation, and artistry. He brings not just his talent and years of experience, but also his continuing passion to stay on the cutting edge of a fast-changing industry
Bill Kroyer, Producer/Director and Director of Digital Arts – Chapman University
“Fred is a creative explosion! When he accepted the promotion to Creative Director, there was noticeable and immediate improvement in the art team’s morale and a distinct uptick in productivity. He has a sense of playfulness and an ability to listen to others.”
